Willie Joe Isenhower
Willie Joe Isenhower, 77, passed away May 1, 2005 after a long battle with Congestive Heart Failure and Lung Cancer. He was born May 29, 1927 in Lake City, South Carolina the son of the Hon. Ernest L. and Gladys Opal Poston Isenhower.
He was a motion picture exhibitor, broadcaster, printer, news editor and merchant. Former publisher of The Hallsville Review, Longview Star and East Texas Oil & Gas Review, Owner of Bunny Print and Isenhower?s Office Furniture in Hallsville for forty years. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War ll. He was a life member of Disabled American Veterans. Life member, charter member, board member and past president of the Hallsville Area Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors, Brother Ernest L. and wife Lu of Columbia, S.C.; son Jerry Isenhower and wife Sabina of La Puente, CA.; Daughters, Nancy Jo Isenhower of Gaffney, S.C.; and Laura Bess and her husband Meredith Stafford of Longview, TX.; grandchildren, Josh McDonald of CA.; April Minter of Redondo Beach, CA.; Laurie Newman and husband of Gaffney, S.C.; and Kevin Claiborne of Longview, TX.; three great-grandchildren. Friends: Coke and Sarah Dent of Florence, S.C.; James and Nelwyn LaGrone, Randy and Gail Reel of Hallsville, TX.
Graveside services will be held at Ten am Tuesday May 3, 2005 at the Hallsville Cemetery with Mike Smith officiating.
