Uncle Joe, I will miss you a lot, you were always so full of life, and always made me smile. Although we were not biologically related, you have always been a part of my life. Your dear friends, Coke "Sac" and Sarah Dent, will also truely miss you. You were the brother my father never had. He loved you dearly and he will surely miss his many visits to Texas and yours to the Carolinas. I'll never forget the childhood vacations with Jerry and Nancy Jo. All my memories are wonderfully filled with laughter and joy. Uncle Joe, you were an inspiration to my life, and I love you for that. You will always be in our thoughts and hearts.##imported-begin##Becky Dent Hill##imported-end##
Dear Laura Bess,
I was so sad to hear that your Dad died yesterday. I wanted you to know that I greatly respected his sensitivity, humor, and wit. I wish that I could be there with you to honor him tomorrow. My condolances to Jerry, Sabina, Nancy Jo, Meredith, Josh, April, Laurie, Kevin, Coke & Sarah, James & Nelwyn, and Randy & Gail. Uncle Joe could tell a story like no one else and he always could bring humor to any situation. Uncle Joe would tease my brother, Ernie, with the counting game of "1 for me, and 1 for you; then 2 for you, and 1, 2 for me."
Though we really don't know each other at all, I do want you to know that I will miss your Father for the incredibly witty, honest, and loving man that he was. I think that you were blessed to have him and your Mom in your life.##imported-begin##Becky Dickert##imported-end##
Dear Family - I am the granddaughter of Ernest and Lu Isenhower daughter of Becky and while I have not had the opportunity of meeting you at least not during my adult life I did have the privilege of visiting with Uncle Joe when he came to Columbia to visit. We always enjoyed his quick wit, humor and amazing storytelling. We will miss him too. Find comfort in each other. Much love, Jean##imported-begin##Jean Kinard##imported-end##
