Mr Ruth was such a special man. Heart hurts to know he is gone from this world 🩷 but know he is in a better place..he was my bus driver my entire childhood. Kinder thru tenth! I lived on FM 2011 and knew he lived in Lake Cherokee remembering he was allowed to drive the bus home at night so he can do our crazy route. I loved him! Kindest eyes and smile. He used to save the seat right behind his for me because I was nice and quiet...little did he know I felt very special bc of that and also reaped the benefits of his AC and heat overflow 🩷 he was also an electives computer teacher of mine but I remember most about that class is how his room overlooked the big field behind the school. I know he's been gone a few years but I wanted the family to know how much he was loved by his students. 🩷

Condolences to Mr Ruth's family. I was a student of Mr Ruth's at Foster Junior High School at the time when Amy was in elementary school. He was truly an inspiration to me, and shaped my love of math from that time forward. Mr Ruth's sense of humor was second to none. He will be remembered fondly by all those students whose lives he touched.

I had Mr Ruth for math at Foster Middle School back in the 80's. He was absolutely adored by all of the students there at Foster. He was such a wonderful teacher and man. I know he will be missed by many. My condolences to his family.

Amy & Alan, I have so many fond memories of your father from our childhood that I've cherished over the years...waffles with whip cream for breakfast at the crack of dawn, after dinner round table devotionals, backgammon matches, bream trapping, tubing, all the many craft projects he prepared for our campfire group, listening to the America 8-track in the back seat of the station wagon, his infectious laugh that sounded just like Burt Reynolds, the time he stood in for my dad at the father-daughter banquet...the list goes on and on! My heart is truly saddened by your loss, and my prayers of peace and comfort go out to you and your family. Thank you for letting me "share" your daddy.
