William Grant Cox's Obituary
Graveside services for William Grant Cox, 88, will be held on Monday February 14 at 2:00PM at Mount Zion Cemetery in Gainesville, Texas with Rev. Hubert Wright officiating.
Grant passed away February 11, at Good Shepard Medical Center in Longview. He was born to William R. Cox and Willie James Donnelly Cox on July 20, 1922.
He attended Gainesville public schools and worked for Sedco for over thirty years, often working internationally. He met his wife, Shirley Khoo Cox, while working in Scotland, and they moved to Longview in 1987. Grant was a Catholic.
He is survived by his loving, devoted wife Shirley Cox of Longview, his son Geoffrey Cox of Sedona, Arizona, his daughter Camellia Cox of Sherman Oaks, California, his children's mother Marlene Cox of Sedona, Arizona, and nieces Jeanie Langhoff, Vicki Francolucci, and Bridget Thomas.
Grant was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Lois Carter and Dorothea Christman.
Family visitation will be at Rader Funeral Home in Longview on Sunday February 13, from 3:00 to 5:00PM.
