William G. "Bill" Leggett
Memorial services for William G. "Bill" Leggett, 82, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2008 at Wesley-McCabe United Methodist Church Longview with the Reverends Virginia Wall and Mark Pickett officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. He passed away Thursday, October 16, in a Longview nursing facility.
Mr. Leggett was born June 14, 1926 in Corsicana, TX to William H. and Ada Leggett and was a U. S. Air Force veteran of WWII. He was a former resident of Longview for 17 years, and then moved to Huntsville, TX and moved back to Longview 1 year ago. He was a retired manager for the Electric Service and Supply Co. in Odessa and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Huntsville.
Mr. Leggett was former President of the Odessa Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of the Odessa Chuck Wagon Gang and the Odessa Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jeanne.
Survivors include his daughters, Laura Leggett of Longview and Debra Wiegand and husband Marc of San Antonio; grand children, Emily, Austin and Meredyth Wiegand; and several nieces and nephews.
