Ann, you and your family are in my prayers. The "Fresh" boys that have already passed are all brightening up heaven with their beautiful voices. We will meet them again some day. Keep looking up, and allow God to comfort and lead you through this sad time.##imported-begin##Anita Smith##imported-end##
I wish to extend my deepest condolences to the loved ones and friends of Wehlan McPherson.
I remember many of us who attended Kilgore College often gathered at the music building. Between classes, we would find an available practice room - tiny rooms equipped with only a piano and a mismatched bench - where we would sing and play the piano or just shoot the breeze.
One of my fondest memories is writing - at the request of one of the "Fresh Boys" a quartet comprised of Wehlan, Don Florey, Mike Perkins, and Randy Williams - an arrangement of Alfred Hay Malotte's "The Lord's Prayer" for them to sing in a family wedding. Later, they told me they received many compliments on their performance and the unusual arrangement of the lovely song. I was proud to have the ability to do that for such terrific guys. I'd do it a thousand more times just to hear those four voices once again.
Wehlan, Don, and Mike are back making beautiful music together. If that isn't Heaven, what is?##imported-begin##Betty Arnold Henderson##imported-end##
While I never had the priviledge to meet Wehlan, my second cousin, I'm saddened by his passing and wish to convey to his dear family my heartfelt condolences and prayers for his dear soul.
Love,

I worked with Wehlan at Eastman. I always enjoyed teasing with him about all of his sticky notes he would have posted everywhere in his work area. Ann, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
