Waurine "Lynn" Morrow's Obituary
Waurine "Lynn" Box Morrow, a proud Texan, was born on February 28, 1961, in Dallas, Texas. She passed away peacefully on January 18, 2025, at 5:13 PM, surrounded by the love of her family, at the age of 63.
Lynn was the beloved wife of Billy Frank Morrow and a devoted mother, stepmother, grandmother, great- grandmother, sister, and friend. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and unforgettable memories. Her family includes her children, Stephanie Thornton, James Box, Joel Binford, Reshell Parker, and Christi Taylor; her stepchildren, David Thacker, Jessica Aloia, and Rebecca Herrera; her siblings, Roger Box, Phyllis Allen, and Cynthia Chesshire; 22 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and cherished friends Charlie and Debbie Richardson.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joann and Chester Box, her brothers Robbie Box and Steven “Bruce” Box, and her grandson, Aiden Woods. Lynn also shared a deep bond with her beloved friend, Marsha Bass, who was like family to her.
Lynn’s life was defined by adventure, resilience, and a heart full of kindness. She dedicated over 20 years of her life to Frito-Lay, a testament to her strong work ethic. In her free time, she immersed herself in hobbies that brought her joy and fulfillment. An avid DIYer, she mastered countless skills and had a particular passion for gardening and canning. Whether soaring through the skies in planes with Billy, two stepping around the dance floor, or traveling to new locations, Lynn was always seeking new adventures.
Her generosity and selflessness extended to volunteering with various organizations, where she worked tirelessly to uplift her community. She instilled values of compassion, resilience, and joy in all those she encountered. Lynn’s ability to bring people together and make them feel valued was one of her many extraordinary gifts.
Lynn’s family and friends will forever cherish the countless memories they shared with her, from her infectious laughter to the warmth she brought to every room.
A celebration of Lynn’s life will be held at Rader Funeral Home, located at 1617 Judson Road, Longview, TX 75601. Friends and family may show respects during the viewing on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Gladewater Memorial Gardens.
