Wanda F Hughes' Obituary
Funeral services for Mrs. Wanda F. Hughes, age 72 of Tyler formerly of Henderson will be held at Tuesday March 17, 2009 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Henderson with the Rev. Darrell Dunks officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Hughes was born April 1, 1936 in Henderson, she was a graduate of Henderson High School. Wanda worked as a bookeeper for Lindsey & Newsome Insurance adjusters for 30 years. She was an active member of Green Acres Baptist Church since 1982. She was a accomplished artist and piano player. She loved the Lord, and loved to travel. Wanda was a devoted loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents Floyd & Juanita Bennett, and a brother Stanley Bennett.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years Robert Hughes of Tyler whom she married June 24, 1969, a son Dwade Hughes of Shreveport, daughter Trudy Corn of Roswell New Mexico, and a son Gary Hughes of Shreveport, sister Darlene Chapman of Henderson, grandsons Eric Hughes of Shreveport, La, and Mitch Corn of Roswell, New Mexico, and granddaughter Christina Hughes of Denver, Co.. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews
Pallbearers will be Jeff Hughes, David James, Eric Hughes, Curtis Chapman, Danny Flannigan, and Lonnie Murray
The Family will meet friends at the funeral home from 6-8 Monday night.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd, Tyler, Texas 75701
