MOCKING BIRD
I called her Wanda Honda Motorbike but when things weren’t going well her mother, Evelyn and Liz called her Wanda JOYCE. You could always tell what was going on by the name they called her. If Evelyn said Wanda JOYCE- WATCH OUT!
We lost our mockingbird on her birthday this year. Have you ever been in the woods before daybreak and heard the birds bringing in the sunrise? Well that’s the way Wanda was. She was a very special person. Now don’t get me wrong. You know how mean a mockingbird bird gets when he’s after a crow. That’s Wanda if you ever said anything about her family
Some of you may not know Wanda spent some time in the army. I think she was trying to be like her oldest brother James Densman but you all know she she acted more like her brother R.D. that I used to run with I know Lizard wanted to kill us and would have but she knew it would give her a bad name. There is no telling where we would be if it hadn’t been for her
Wanda was the rainbow after a storm and a friend for life. She was the sister my daughter Jamie never had
She was more like a sister to me than a sister in law. She would call me in the middle of the night to come rescue her when she would fall out of the nest. She would say “I bet you don’t say anything to him when he gets here”.
Well Wanda Honda I can’t help you move your nest anymore. I wore out a truck and trailer moving your nests. We should have left that furniture on the trailer. It would have been easier.
Besides that you’re not going to need furniture in heaven with those streets of gold. Little mockingbird you can sing with the angels and your family that got there before you
Wanda I know you are happy now and in a much better place. Will you please talk to the good lord and tell Him we want to live in your neighborhood ?
When we look up in the sky at night we will look for your star. We will see you in a beautiful rainbow and hear you when the birds sing.
I’ve always heard hummingbirds catch rides on the backs of geese. Friends our mockingbird went to heaven on the back of an angel
To Wanda’s daughter and grandkids know that life is short. So today put God first in your lives and you will find true happiness. Let God guide you through all your trials and journey through life. Let God take away the tears and pain you feel today. Prayer is an awesome thing. I pray that you get through this darkness and see the light of Jesus Christ
Love always and forever
