Roland was my Mom's favorite cousin on the Evans' side. He always had a smile on his face and always willing to help. When I was transferred to AL for my job in the 90's, he drove, with my mom, from NW AR all the way to Birmingham to drop off my things, then he visited with one of his best friends who lived there, then took the bus back home. He was always kind, positive, and just a great person. I'll miss getting his Christmas cards every year, but mostly I'll miss losing someone that knew my mom (who has passed) from when she was a young child and the Evans' family. She and Roland played together when she was visiting her Aunt Laura and Uncle Jim (Roland's grandparents), she had such fond memories of those days.
