Walter Guy Causey's Obituary
Walter Guy Causey, “Coach Causey,” 70, passed away August 6, 2016, in Longview, Texas.
He was born January 18, 1946, in Monroe, Louisiana, to William and Johnnie Causey.
A four-sport athlete and 1964 graduate of Neville High School, he received a Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana Tech University in 1969. He was a stand-out defensive end on the Louisiana Tech Bulldog football team and recipient of the 1968 Billy Moss Award “presented to the Louisiana Tech football player who best exemplifies the qualities of character, integrity, and dependability.”
