So sorry to hear about Walter, a fantastic man and outstanding coach. He was a positive role model to all those who were fortunate enough to know him. Even after we both left education, I was blessed to continue seeing him and his big smile when he brought lovely flowers to our home. That gave me a chance to catch up on Patricia and the rest of the family, whom he was so proud of. In fact, I had seen him only a few days before hearing about his passing. My prayer is for peace and comfort to Pat and all of his dear family.

Dear Cara, Mrs. Causey and family,
We are so sorry to hear about Coach Causey. I always enjoyed visiting with you when we would run into you both, usually at Jason's Deli! I loved your family from the first time I met you when Jay and I moved to Longview 24 years ago. You are an awesome family. He will be missed, but he will live on forever in the hearts of all of us whose lives he touched. Our love and prayers to each of you.

So surprised to hear of his passing. Had a great visit at the last Neville Reunion. We both played end on the Neville State Championship teams of 62-63 and went to Tech together. Great athlete and greater person. May he rest in peace.

The last time I had the chance to visit with Walter was at our 1964 Neville High School reunion. He was the same gentle giant that I remembered from our four years as high school classmates. I am absolutely positive we was an inspiration to his students and community

Pat,

Walter was a four year classmate of mine at Neville High School. He was always a perfect gentleman, polite, honorable, a bit reserve but enjoyed a good laugh. He was a tremendous athlete and always contributed to the team's success. I last visited with Walter at one of our 1964 class reunions. He was the same humble and respectful person I knew when we were kids. And though we have not visited much as adults I know that he was a man of true character and one that will be missed.
