Our Precious loved one, Verna Lynn Mauldin, has won the battle and is now with her Lord and Savior. Through many dangers, toils, and snares, she has already come. His grace has brought her life this far and his grace has led her home.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10 AM Monday, January 24, 2005 at Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev-erend?s Steve Cochran and Neal Thorn-burgh officiating. Burial will follow in Hallsville Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 PM Sunday, January 23, 2004 at the funeral home, 1617 Judson Road.
Mrs. Mauldin a long time resident of Hallsville was born on July 15, 1954 in Longview to Eldridge and Mary Ellen Strickland. She passed away on Thurs-day evening, January 20, 2005 at her residence.
Mrs. Mauldin was a former employee of Hallsville Independent School District and East Texas Baptist University. She was also a faithful member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
A loving wife, mother, and grand-mother, Mrs. Mauldin is survived by her husband, Phillip Mauldin of Hallsville; son and daughter-in-law, Griff and Jenni-fer Mauldin of Longview; daughter and son-in-law, Emily and Joey Dunagan of Hallsville; granddaughter, Abby Duna-gan; grandson, Jacob Mauldin; her par-ents; sisters, Doris Lawrence of Austin, Phyllis Jones and her husband Lonnie of Longview; brother; James Strickland and his wife Lisa of Hallsville; father-in-law, H.S. Mauldin as well as many nieces and nephews.
