Mr. Hardin, I am so sorry to hear about Mrs. Hardin. She was the most wonderful woman I have ever met, and I know she is up in heaven watching over us now. I learned so much from both of you when I worked at Hardin True Value. Both of you touched my life in ways that will last forever. You will be in my prayers. We are sad to learn of Mrs. Hardin's death. It seems such a short time ago that you were both visiting us at the hospital with Daddy, K.P. Braswell. Both of you were so faithful to visit and check on both Mother and Daddy and they thought highly of both of you. You were true friends to my parents and I thank you for that and the love that you gave to them. My prayers are with you with the hope that wonderful memories give you the comfort that you need at this time.

Dear Bob, Mark, Steve and Ann,
I am so sorry! I did not know! Verdue was still being lifted in prayer, and I know my sweet friend is safe in the arms of a God who loves her very much. My sympathy to you Bob -and Mark, Steve, and Ann and families. I hope you all know how special your family has always been to the Hennigans since we were neighbors back in Tyler on Boldt Ave. Jon and Joni have grown up thinking of the Hardins as part of our family. I have been sick at home since last Thursday 14th with a horrible cold and no voice -so I am glad to find a way to tell you how heartbroken we are that Verdue had to endure a terrible cancer that took her life. She was a wonderful, sweet person and we cherish our memories with your family. My relatives and friends all over Longview were saddened at her death and missed her at the store. I regret not being able to be there. Please know we love you!

We are so sorry to learn of Verdue's death. She and Bob were such wonderful friends to my parents, J.L. & Inez Geistman. We will always be grateful for how Verdue would check-in and and do "special things" for Mother and Dad. As Mother and Dad got older and less active, Verdue would go out of her way to make sure that they were okay. Mother is in the latter stages of dementia and was admitted to the hospital in Bedford, Tx. on tuesday night. I told her of Verdue's death this morning and despite having very little memory of past friends or places, she cried and said, "Verdue was my dear friend". The impact of her friendship obviously was a very strong part of Mother's life. Verdue was a very special lady and will be greatly missed. Our most sincere sympathy to Bob and the entire family.
