I grew up next door to Mr. & Mrs. Patterson. My childhood memories of them are very precious. They helped my parents spoil me and looked after me like I was their own. I spent nights with them when I could and loved them dearly. They knew all my children and watched them play on their porch and carport and loved having them around. They were wonderful and godly examples for me and my siblings. My parents looked after their house when they were out of town and they looked after ours when we were gone. I only got to visit with Mrs. Patterson in Longview a couple of times after my Mother died in 1984. I remember talking to her in 1997 when I was in Longview before my youngest daughter got married. People as wonderful as the Pattersons are hard to find these days. They will be forever imprinted on my heart. My prayers are with her family as they say goodbye for now.
