Dear Gerald and family,
I married into Velma Jean's brother Willie's family in January, 2004. It's been a whirlwind ever since. The other day I told my mother-in-law Margie that if you look up the word "vivacious" in the dictionary, Velma Jean's picture is right there.
The first time I met her it was at John Carpenter's 30th birthday. This woman walked in the door, proceeded up the aisle, beautifully coiffed and dressed. ended up at me, sweating in the kitchen and said "You must be Dee. We'll talk later."
Last time we saw the Pinsons was at a surprise birthday party last December when they tricked "Nanny" Sue Carpenter to a concert next door. We have some, too few, memories but what great people.
Velma Jean will definitely be a hit in her new environs, and missed down here. She's in our hearts. Love from Dee and Jimmy##imported-begin##Dee and James Carpenter##imported-end##
