Tyson Douglas Reagan
Tyson Douglas Reagan touched many lives with his faithful witness and testimony to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Tyson was born on January 7, 1984 in Houston, TX. He was the oldest child of Douglas and Cyndy Reagan of Hallsville. Tyson went to be with his Lord on August 17, 2002. Tyson graduated from Hallsville High School in May of 2002. He was active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for four years, and was Vice President of his senior year. He was also the varsity boys basketball manager for four years. He was the cross country manager for three years and girls softball statistician for two years. He loved computers and was looking forward to studying at Le-Tourneau to earn a degree in Computer Science engineering. In 2000, he was selected the Hallsville High School Out-standing Biology Student. In 2001, he was awarded the Outstanding AP History Student. He was a Texas Globe Scholar with Distinction. He was awarded the Don Walenta Memorial Scholarship, among many other scholarships. Tyson had a lifelong dream of attending LeTourneau University. He loved reading C.S. Lewis, contemporary Christian music, and hiking. He served as a mission worker in several communities around the United States. He was looking forward to serving as a Christian youth counselor for Young Life. He was proud of his work with the Sam?s Club of Longview. Tyson is survived by his parents Douglas and Cyndy Reagan; his brother, Tucker; and his sister, Taylor. He is also survived by grandparents, Billy and Eva Skinner of Houston, and grandmother, Helen Reagan of Corpus Christi; uncle, Chuck Skinner of Lindsey; uncle and aunt, Michael and Sandy Skinner of Brisbane, Australia; uncle and aunt, Mark and Yolanda Reagan of San Diego, CA. He is also survived by cousins, Faith Skin-ner, Conner Skinner, Andrew Skinner, John Skinner and John Mark Reagan. Tyson will be remembered by his family and a host of friends as the "King of Puns". He was happiest when he was humbly serving Jesus Christ. He will be forever missed and all are looking forward to a happy reunion with him in heaven. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the following charities: Le-Tourneau University Scholarship Fund, Young Life, First United Methodist Church, Hallsville Stepping Out in Faith Program and to the "Voice of the Martyrs" - P.O. Box 443, Bartlesville, OK 74005. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Monday, August 19, 2002 at Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Services will be held Tuesday, August 20, at !0 AM at the First Baptist Church of Hallsville. Burial will be at the Athens Church Park Cemetery, Hallsville.
