I only met you a few times at my aunt Mary's house in Arkansas, but the few times, I did meet you, I felt like you were family!!! You were a great man, and you will be greatly missed!! Until we meet again!
I only had the honor of meeting Mr. Poteet once. I was touched by his kindness and acceptance. May his family and friends find peace and comfort in one another as you share your love and memories of him.

Troy was more than my father-in-law. He was like a father. We had a mutual love and admiration for each other. If Troy loved and cared for you, he always made you feel like you were his favorite. He loved coming to Arkansas to see us. He loved my family and they loved him. I was lucky enough to spend last weekend with him and Charlotte. I made him his favorite baked potato soup and one of his caregivers said it was what he ate for his last meal while watching a football game in the sun room. I was honored to be his daughter-in-law and still am. One time I came down to stay with him and he wanted to make sure he took me to my favorite restaurant so I told Nancy to tell him it was a date. From then on it was called a date. Then we went to the rehab center to visit Charlotte and on our way back we stopped to eat dinner. Our dinner consisted of a big bowl of ice cream! Just because we could. Everyone felt richer just knowing him, I know I certainly did. He will forever be a big part of my life. Until we meet again, he will be one of my guardian Angel's in Heaven.
With Love and affection,
Your daughter-in-law,
Mary Mack-McCarty
