I am a volunteer at the nursing home where Mrs. Wilson resided. Over the past couple of months, I had the pleasure of getting to know Mrs. Wilson and would often sit in her room for conversations about all of her children, grandchildren, siblings, and her beloved that she was anxious to see again. What a sweet, sweet woman! Her eyes were always sparkling, and she had a smile for me each time even if she was struggling that day. I saw her the Saturday before her passing, and she asked me, "Why are you here?" I told her just to sit and be with her. She acted tired and would doze off, so I got up to leave. She wouldn't talk much, but she did say, "No. Stay." I stayed until she drifted off to sleep again. I am so sorry for your loss. She was a kind and generous woman. I still look in her room when I walk by hoping to see that smiling face looking back at me. Prayers to your family as you deal with her passing. May God's peace cover you and comfort you.
