Nadine and I worked together at LISD and I only have good memories of her. She was so funny and neat and clean, I mean clean/gern before all that was popular. My grandmother was one of the most influential people in my life. She and my grandfather, above all others, took time with my sister and me, time to show us the country, time to lay back and catch some fish or maybe just time to endlessly scratch our backs. Mama Niki had a way of making us feel like queens. Most of my good memories as a child revolve around times spent with this extraordinary woman.
