I just want you to know what an Influence Mr. Burnett was on my son's life. Jonathan was in his class last year in Gilmer Jr. High and Jonathan loved it. Mr.Burnett encouraged him and showed him how much fun learning could be. Jonathan's love for science grew with leaps and bounds because of Mr. Burnett. Jonathan is devastated by your loss and your family is in our prayers. Thank you for Mr. Burnett he truly was gift from God. Thank you for sharing him with us.##imported-begin##April & Jonathan Morey##imported-end##

I, like many, many others am very saddened to hear about the loss of Terry. To Eddie, Sharon, Patti, Clara, you are in my thoughts and prayers for days, weeks, months and years ahead, and to Terry's wife, children, grandchildren, I never had the privilege to meet you, I know how you love him, keep that love and all those memories alive. He will be forever loving and watching over you. God Bless you all.

I am sadden by the loss of this incredible heart for the love of education! His love for students and passion for teaching was evident each day. I am blessed that he was able to teach my daughter and impact her in the area of science! I will remember his smile and great sense of humor in all the meetings we sat through! May God bless his family and may you find strength in the One who can give you all that you need to make it through the days ahead!##imported-begin##Becky Cook##imported-end##
I had the privilege of working with Terry the last two years. He was so polite and kind to every one. He was a very giving and thoughtful person that will be missed. You will be in our thoughts and prayers in the days ahead.##imported-begin##Donna Youngblood##imported-end##
I remember Coach Burnett at South Ward Elementary always having a friendly smile riding to school on his motorcycle. He still had that same smile years later when I worked with his daughter Tara at Fairmont and got a chance to know the family. I will keep the family in my prayers.##imported-begin##Cynthia Marie Smith##imported-end##

You will be missed.
Special note - I have a newspaper clipping from the Kemp news about Terry's track record. I would love to send it to you. It is a very good article.
You are in my thoughts & prayers.
