Temple S. Carpenter, Jr.'s Obituary
Funeral services for Temple S. Carpenter, Jr., 75, of Longview will be 2 PM Thursday, March 5, in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home. Interment will follow in White Cemetery with military honors. The family will greet friends on Wednesday from 7 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Carpenter died Monday afternoon, March 2, in a Longview hospital.
A native of Shreveport, Louisiana, he was born March 27, 1933 to Temple S. Carpenter, Sr and Nell E. Heard Carpenter. He graduated from White Oak High School, received his BBA from North Texas State University and received his Masters from Troy University. Mr. Carpenter retired as a traffic manager from the US Air Force, having served in Korea and Viet Nam.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandsons, Christopher Allen and Corey Arbon Carpenter. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife: Emma, sons: Temple Carpenter III and wife Sandra of Longview and Steve Carpenter and wife Cindy of Longview, grandchildren: April and husband Ssgt Gary Weber of Fayetteville, NC, Ssgt Todd Steven Carpenter and wife Alexandra of Fayetteville, NC and Brandon Bussey of Longview, great grandchildren: Waylon Rhedd Weber of Fayetteville, NC, Garret and Gage Bussey of Longview. Also the mother of his children: LaJuan Lowe Carpenter of Longview.
