Susie Jarrett's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Susie Jarrett, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Susie was born on January 19, 1954, in Dumas, Arkansas, to Wesley Carol Franklin McAfee and Theo Dora McAfee. She peacefully departed this life on July 4, 2026, in Longview, Texas, where she had made her home.
Susie was a dedicated mother to her sons, Wesley and Daniel Carmical. Linsey and Jasmine, her daughters-in-law, were like her own as well. Susie cherished her family deeply, and their love and support were her guiding light. Throughout her life, Susie touched the lives of many with her warmth, compassion, and genuine spirit. She had a natural ability to bring people together and create a sense of belonging. Her laughter and love will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
Susie is preceded in death her parents, Wesley Carol Franklin McAfee and Theo Dora McAfee, daughter, Mary Anne Carmical, and siblings, Charles McAfee and Carol McAfee. She is survived by her children, Wes Carmical, wife Lindsey, Daniel Carmical, wife Jasmine Carmical. Also left to carry on her legacy are her grandchildren, Kelsie Carmical, Weston Carmical, Susanna Carmical, Addison Carmack and Camden Carmack. Susie also leaves behind her siblings, Mary Lou Brooks, Kenneth McAfee, William McAfee, and Frankie McAfee.
Funeral services in honor of Susie Jarrett will be held at Rosewood Park Mausoleum, on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 1:00PM. We invite friends and family to join us as we celebrate her life and share cherished memories.
In this time of loss, we find solace in one another and carry forward Susie's legacy of love and compassion. She may be gone from our sight, but she will forever remain in our hearts.
