To the Family of Mr. Spiro S. Mijalis:
When I heard of Miles' death I wrote Mr. Spiro a letter recalling a time when Miles and I were out on the back deck of his home one night and Miles played a beautiful tune on his trumphet. I informed Mr. Spiro that if he listened carefully he could still hear that beautiful tune. With Mr. Spiro's death fear not because another trumphet shall sound a tune that exceeds any tune ever heard. Please find comfort in the following passage:
"In a moment atomos, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumphet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."
