Sandra had a servant's heart and went out of her way to help everyone in any way she could. One of my fondest memories is finding her in her classroom with a room full of students one day at 4:00 pm, long after dismissal time. I asked her why so late. She had arranged with her parents to pick up their children after normal hours so she could give the children the extra time needed to cover the science curriculum. Sandra loved children, parents, friends and most of all, her family. She will be missed!

Sandra was a beautiful friend and colleague whose compassion touched everyone around her. She had an extraordinary heart for humanity, showing kindness in both her words and actions. Her love of life could definitely be felt when in her presence. I am blessed to have had the opportunity to get to know and work with her.
