Funeral services for Ruth Bullard will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 1, 2005 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with the Reverend Joe Parnell officiating. Interment will be in Rosewood Park. Ruth passed from this life on Friday August 26 due to injuries received in a car accident. She was a long time resident of Longview.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, at the funeral home.
Ruth was born December 18, 1953 in St. Louis, MO. and moved to Longview in 1977. Ruth was a successful businesswoman, owner of Elite Repeats & Boutique. She was resourceful, a hard worker, independent and very persistent. She was very dependable, a faithful friend, hospitable to all, forgiving and tolerant of all people. Ruth loved to travel and live life to its fullest. She was a sweet lady with a great sense of humor and she will be forever etched in our memory with her beautiful smile. She was a friend to many and will be greatly missed. She was a member of the Mobberly Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving daughters and son-in-law, Wendy and Chris Bertel of Keller, TX, and Dawn and Jason Byers of Allen, TX; her precious granddaughter, Sydney Byers, who was the light of her life; sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and Dave Luckert of Wichita, KS, and Jan and Randy Hajek of St. Charles, MO; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Nancy McDonald of Bufort, MO, and Dale and Carol McDonald of Villa Ridge, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Baylor Medical Center in Dallas and Lu Ann & Cynthia, the ICU Trauma Nurses who took such tender care of Ruth and her family the last week of her life here on earth.
