Russell Waggoner's Obituary
Russell Wayne Waggoner, beloved father, grandfather and friend passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2013 after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Wayne was born on December 2, 1936 in Henderson, Texas to Jesse & Lily Waggoner. Mr. Waggoner graduated from Henderson High School and resided in the Longview and Henderson area all his life.
Mr. Waggoner was the owner of Longview Pest Control Inc. for over 20 years. His family will carry on his legacy as they continue the operation of Longview Pest Control. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
He is survived by his daughters Kathy Baumgardner and husband Les of Lake Cherokee and daughter Kelly Adams and husband Les of Diana. Also his daughter in law Rosanne Waggoner of Longview. "Paw Paw" was blessed with five grandchildren, Tiffany Leftwich, Allison & Phillip Reynolds, Russell Wayne Waggoner III, Cleve Sexton and Ariel Waggoner. Great grandchildren Madelynn & Wyatt Reynolds put a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eyes. Also left to cherish his memories are cousin June Knight and special friend Sarah Murray.
He was preceded in death by his son Russell Wayne Waggoner Jr.; his parents Jesse & Lily Waggoner and his sister Leoda Stewart.
The family wishes to thank Heartsway Hospice for their compassionate support and the special care provided by staff at Summer Meadows.
The family will receive visitors at Rader Funeral Home on Monday January 14 from 5-7 pm. Funeral services will be at Rader Funeral Home on Tuesday January 15, 2013 at 4 pm. Interment will follow at Rosewood Park.
Memorial contributions made be made to American Cancer Society and American Heart Association.
