The Craver family and the Nichols family were neighbors during our very early years. Ronnie played for the Braves and I played for the Pirates during our Little League careers. His career was much better than mine. One hot summer evening, Coy was taking us to the ball park and let us ride in the back of the truck. He had told us when we arrived "Don't jump out of the pickup until I am completely stopped!" Guess what? We arrived at the ball park on that oily parking lot and guess who "jumped" out of the back of the truck before it stopped? Ronnie. And somehow, one of the back rear tires caught Ronnies pants leg and scared him to death. I was hollering and screaming for Coy to stop. Coy jumps out of the truck, checks on Ronnie and the only thing hurt was his lily white baseball britches and his ears after the scolding that he took from Coy. Lots of memories of the "old" neighborhood;Ronnie, Ronnie Morrison, and I, but some of those are just "memories." Ronnie was quiet a guy, but always a Friend.
