Mr. Garrett always had a twinkle in his eye, a smile on his face, and a bounce in his step. He often came in to Chuck Madden's Longview Asphalt where I worked. My whole family became fast friends with him. What a joy it was to later see him walking in the mall. I am thankful for the pleasure I had of knowing him.
