Now I know why I enjoyed those cafeteria meals so much in elementary and jr. high school. Your mother was well trained for that job!
We appreciate all she did to provide nutritious meals for us kids.

My mother, Irene Pitts, worked for Roberta Wren in the cafeteria for almost 20 years. The love and respect those ladies had for each other was nothing short of a family all its very own. I can still see the little ladies all dressed in their white uniforms. Quite a dress code back then. God Bless your family! I remember Mrs. Wren from when I was in elementary & junior high school at Pine Tree. My mother, Mary Carter, worked in the cafeteria and I sometimes stayed after school to wait for her. I remember Mrs. Wren appearing to be very ominus before I got to know her better. She was a very nice person to me and my brothers. My mom always spoke of her with admiration.

Dear Lanny and family,
Mrs. Wren was an icon in the Pine Tree School Independent School District. Every student who passed through her cafeteria line was greeted with professionally prepared food and a warm, cheerful smile. I very much enjoyed visiting with her when she resided in the Plano area.
She wil be greatly missed, and her memory will remain etched in our hearts.
