Robert Ray Bischoff's Obituary
Funeral Services for Mr. Robert Ray Bischoff, 85, of Longview, will be held Twelve Noon Saturday, September 24, 2005, at Winterfield United Methodist Church with Reverend Michael Lindstrom officiating. Rader Funeral Home, Longview, in charge of services.
Born in Woodsfield, Ohio, Mr. Bischoff served in the U. S. Army during WWII, and then settled in Longview. His loving wife, Avis Yvonne Bischoff, preceded him in death. Mr. Bischoff was employed by Elliott-Waldron Abstract Co. and later by Gregg County Abstract Co. until his retirement in 1985. He was a member of the Longview Chapter of Eastern Star and long-time member of Winterfield United Methodist Church.
Mr. Bischoff filled his time after retirement caring for his sisters Edith Brown and Annette Mobley. He also did volunteer work with the Gregg County Absentee Voters. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Longview Lobos football fan.
Survivors include daughter Joy Thomas and husband Jim of Oklahoma, son David Bischoff of Maryland, son Parry Bischoff and wife Linda of Longview. Also surviving are nephews James Mobley of Longview and Terry Mann of Ohio and five grand children & seven great grandchildren.
The family will greets friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6 to 8 PM
