Robert came to Eastman to be a guard at 13th Avenue where I was supervisor and we chatted often about our families. He was proud of his five daughters and he would call their names on occasion but the one thing that always amazed me was how he would relate which daughter by order of birth. 1st born, second born and so on to indicate which daughter it was. He loved his wife, Amy and his girls and his cats.
One thing I could always rely on was his dedication to detail and in that job description that onecthing was imperative. It was a joy to work with someone who had as much to share about Jesus and we talked often about who Jesus was for us both.
He and Amy came to my home before he retired and we dug up Azaleas to plant in their yard. I hope they are still living!
