I was deeply saddened to hear about Bob's passing. I had the privilege of working with Bob at Bombardier in Montreal, where he was one of my mentors. His guidance and expertise, especially regarding Part 135, were invaluable to me. Bob will be greatly missed.

JoAnne, my sincere condolences to you and the family as you all reflect on the many memories you shared and now, the many memories you will remember. After working with Bob for almost 23 years, I have enough fun memories of Bob that I could write a book but not here. I acknowledge, Bob was my mentor when it came to air charter regulations. He knew the regulations better than the regulators (and he knew it and wasn't bashful about acknowledging that fact)! Bob's contribution to aviation safety, instructional techniques and international air operations was recognized by all who knew him and/or worked with him. He will be missed.
I worked with Bob at Bombardier. While many memories flow through my mind, I have two that stick out the most. On a work trip to Montreal, Bob took me to the local steakhouse and introduced me to escargot. Which I have to admit I don't actively search for on the menu but think of him every time I see it. My second was the maintenance stories he would tell about the rent homes. I am grateful and honored to have known Bob for the short amount of time that I did. Rest in Peace my friend.
