Pete and Wanda were neighbors of ours on Paverstone, and Donald and I so enjoyed getting to know them. I was so excited to find out that they were moving into Arrabella where we could once again reconnect. Donald would have enjoyed once again being able to visit with Pete.
Pete was so loved by everyone and he will certainly be missed.
Wanda, I will be praying for you and your family, as I know to well the pain and hurting you are feeling at this time.
We love you and are here for you.
I’m so sad to hear of Pete’s passing! My thoughts and prayers are with Wanda, family & friends. Pete was a character & always fun to be around!
It's been a long time since a death affected me so much. Even though I only saw Uncle Pete at family reunions and a chat here and there including a chat on our shared birthdays, Pete was always with me in some way. When I had a fleeting thought about Uncle Pete in the midst of my day, the thought brought a smile and sometimes a giggle. He was so adorable, cute, funny, friendly. I loved his raspy voice. His 95 year old mind was in tact the last time we spoke a few months ago, which always amazed me, but also makes me sad because he could have entertained us for many more years. I'm gonna miss the calls on our birthday (Oct 6 ... also Sandra's). I'm gonna miss our occasional chats and am really going to miss having Uncle Pete around at our next family gathering. We could always count on Uncle Pete to pull us up, to make us laugh, to make us feel loved. I so wish I could be there today to hug everyone. Hugs later. Hugging you in heaven Uncle Pete. You are still and always will be in our hearts. We'll keep laughing at your humor. We'll keep loving you.
Your niece,
Pam Burrow Barnett, Nashville, TN

The memories I have of Pete are too many to list here. What I can say is I was so blessed to have such a loving grandfather in my life for 54 years! He was loved by everyone he met, he never met a stranger, he was the biggest jokester and he loved to talk. He loved big and if you were blessed to be a part of his life like I was, there was never any doubt how important you were to him. I can’t imagine enjoying another family fish fry without him being there, or drinking a bourbon slush without toasting his glass. Our lives here on earth will definitely feel the void without him being here but Heaven has gained one of the most amazing men I have known. I love you Pete and I will miss you so much!
Mr. Pete is like GrandDad to my children.
He taught me so much in all the years we were neighbors. He was my best friend, mentor, teacher and a Brother Mason.
He was a true example of great Man
Life won’t be the same with out his kindness
God has received one the best men I have ever known
Rest well my friend till we meet again
