Reuben S. Pool's Obituary
Services for Reuben S. Pool, 89, of Henderson will be held Wednesday July 19, 2017 at 10:00am in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Rev. John Mark Pool officiating, burial will follow at Rusk County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6pm until 8pm Tuesday night at the Funeral Home Mr. Pool was born February 27, 1928 in Rusk County to Sam J. and Maudie Pool and passed away July 14, 2017at ETMC Henderson.
Mr. Pool was a lifelong resident of Rusk County who retired from Texas Eastman after 30 years of service. He was a veteran having served in the US Army with occupational forces in Japan, and attended the Assembly of God Church.
Reuben was a man who loved the Lord and always talked about the Lord. He loved raising cows, and buying , selling and trading. He was a generous man that loved his family, and would often state, it is better to be a giver , not a taker
He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years , Dovie Lee Pool, daughter Sharon Pool Davis, and his parents. Also preceding him in death were brothers Sam Jones Pool Jr., Milton Pool, Bruce Pool and Homer Pool, sisters Alice M. Wylie, Ollie Jo Standard, and Iris Barton, and half brother William Pope.
Survivors include sons Ronnie and Bobby Pool of Henderson, daughter Jeannie Wood of Kilgore., grandchildren Duke Pool, Cody Pool, Bryan Pool, Shane West, John W. Pool and Charlotte Pool.
Pallbearers will be Cody Pool, Duke Pool, Shane West, Levi West, John Wesley Pool, Bryan Pool and Mason Pool.
