Memorial graveside services for Rayford Williams, age 84 of Nacogdoches, will be held Thursday June 27, 2013 at 10:00am at Lakewood Memorial Park in Henderson with Chaplin Freddie Bird officiating. Services are under the direction Read Obituary
I worked with Rayford at The Daily Sentinel. He always went the extra mile for the customers, and his smile and his personality always set such a positive tone in every interaction anyone ever had with him. I had no idea he was 84, because he seemed so much younger! He had such an energy and enthusiasm about him. I am so glad I had the privilege of knowing Rayford.

We always knew when we needed help all we had to do was go next door. He and Ms Bess welcomed us to the neighborhood and I never forgot that. Men like Rayford Williams are few and far between. He always had a pleasant demeanor and never seemed to lose his temper. I only wish I had the privilege of knowing him longer. I know the Good Lord above welcomed him Home , it is with deep regret I was unable to attend his services due to distance and schedule. Ms Bess I will be calling and look to see you soon. My sincerest sympathy and Love.
