Tommy Dean
Mr. Beard and I had many talks through the years but one stands out to me above the rest. It was about a year after Miss Nancy had gone home to Heaven. I had stopped by with a young man I was mentoring Asking how he was doing, he sighed and said "Tommy, I'm tired. I want to go Home. I don't know why my LORD is keeping me here." I quickly told him it was for men like myself and this young man! "We Need men like you to see as examples of how to live life for HIM. Men that no only 'talk the talk, but walk the Walk." And that is what your Dad did. He Loved his LORD and was quick to share that love with others. I am blessed to have known Mr. Beard and cherish the memories and talks we had over the years.
