Randy Skipper's Obituary
Randy Lynn Skipper, 77, passed away on February 19, 2026. Randy was born on May 16. 1948 in Hughes Springs, Texas, to Ella Jo and E.B. Skipper.
Randy graduated from Daingerfield High School and continued his education with a degree in History from East Texas State University (A&M Commerce). He spent his life in sales, starting with insurance and then following in his father’s footsteps in the car business. Randy made a lasting impact by mentoring many young men in sales. He was known for his generosity and humor. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Anyone who knew him will also remember his love of the Dallas Cowboys and cars.
He is survived by his wife, Sherri, daughters Shannon and Angela, step-son Craig, his brother, Steve, and his grandchildren, David, Christian, Katina, Connor, Caleb, Joel, Rachel, Mick, Ella, Jake, and Drew, along with many lifelong friends.
A visitation will be held at Rader Funeral Home in Longview, Tx, on Friday, February 20th, from 6:00-8:00 P.M. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 21st, at 10:00 AM at Rader Funeral Home for anyone who wants to celebrate his life.
We’ll carry his memory with us every day.
Instead of flowers, the family is asking for donations to his favorite charities, the Highway 80 Rescue Mission in Longview, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and the American Diabetes Association in his honor.
