Roel Family,
It was just this morning that I leaned of the loss your husband and father. He did so much for the Pine Tree community and cared so much about his children. I can remember, as a Pine Tree employee, the number of times that he brought chips and salsa to our school for the Pine Tree teachers and staff. It was his way of showing how much he cared for each of his children. He wanted the best education for each of you and was always grateful for your teachers. He expressed this many times to me while you were at Pine Tree. Our community gained so much from his business ventures and he was certainly a "giant among men". I know that each of you have such fond memories to fall back on in the days to come. May God Bless each of you in the difficult days to comes. Our thoughts and prayers will be with each of you.

My name is Robert Rosales and I work in outside sales for La Fama Foods. As I have traveled throughout east Texas I have run into several persons who have known Mr. Roel and always mentioned what a nice and caring person he was. Our deepest sympathy goes out to his family at this time.
My name is Delfina Cuellar Whitwell. I worked at the El Chico commissary for my dad. I remember your father. My dad was Arturo G. Cuellar and he opened up the first El Chico here in Longview on HWY 80 where Lupe Mancha worked for him. My son Matthew Smith graduated from Pine Tree High school with Raul. I never knew the connection or I would have looked your dad up. He was very well respected. I would conduct the tours of the commissary so I would see your dad then. Please accept my sincere sympathy in your loss.
