I am pleased, but not surprised, to learn that Phil was a christian; that means I get to see him again one day. He introduced me to Bearkat scanners when I was a young highway patrolman. Phil was always so pleasant to visit with and always willing to share his time or talent or a funny story. I hope there are "42" games in heaven; I would like to see how good he is. My thoughts and prayers to his family.##imported-begin##Buddy Owles##imported-end##

Mr. Wright was the one Teacher I will never forget. I learned a lot about life in general from him while taking his electronics class in Gatesville. What I learned in his class helped me to get the high tech job I had in the military. He was a great teacher and a very good man.##imported-begin##Mike McInis##imported-end##
My deepest sympathy. Phil Wright was one of finest teachers Tatum ISD ever had. I watched him mentor many a young student with no direction in life into a responsible mature adult. He never thought of any child as a failure. He has my upmost respect and I know heaven has gained another angel.##imported-begin##Denise Ross##imported-end##
Mr. Wright was the most amazing teacher/mentor I ever had. All of his words of wisdom constantly run through my head. I will never forget the fun we had with him in Waco and our class day at his house. The crackers and peanut butter that I ate out of his desk drawer for most of my senior were always "mysteriously" replinished with perfect timing. He will forever be in my heart and memories. He will be greatly missed by many!##imported-begin##Kelli Hendrix##imported-end##

I was so sorry to hear of Phil's passing or his going home. Bobbie the camping trips we made were wonderful and made great memories. Phil's dry since of humor was something to be remembered. I guess he now wins his $10 bet. Happy landing Phil.##imported-begin##Ruth Loving##imported-end##
I was greatly saddened to hear of Daddy Wright's passing. I learned alot about life and work from that man. He was one of the best teachers I ever had. I remember hearing stories of the electronic store, of him driving a truck and running up and down the road to try to stay awake. My parents even bought their 1st color TV from him when they got married. He will always remain in my heart and in my memory he will always have a smile, a toothpick in hand and his pocket protector. God's Speed Daddy Wright~##imported-begin##LeeAnn Parsons##imported-end##
My condolences to the family. Mr. Wright had such a positive influence on my life. The things that he taught me whether it was the curriculum, his past experiences, or work ethic were all invaluable. I take comfort in knowing that I got the chance to tell him these things in person a couple of years ago when he stopped by my office for a visit. I regret not finding the time to play that round of golf we said we would. I owe you so much. You are loved and missed.##imported-begin##Patrick Pither##imported-end##
