Funeral services for Patricia L. Marshall will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 13, 2009 at the First Baptist Church of Longview with Dr. Tim Watson and David English officiating. Internment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. A Read Obituary
I will always have wonderful memories of Mrs. Marshall. She always welcomed me into her home. Her grace and warmth made me and many others feel as if we were a part of her family. Mrs. Marshall's love of Christ was apparent in the manner in which she treated others and the way she conducted her life. It was an honor to know her.##imported-begin##Martha Basler##imported-end##
Glen and I were so surprised and saddened to hear of the Loss of Pat Marshall. When our younger daughter was delivered by Dr. Marshall on Sept. 17, 1976, he mentioned that it was also his wife's birthday. So every year on that date when celebrating with our daughter, we also think of her. I know she will be forever missed by many, but especially by Dr. Marshall and their children and grandchildren.##imported-begin##Jacque and Glen Cobb##imported-end##
I know you will hear many wonderful things about Pat, but just want to add one more. When my 1st husband, Billy Patterson lost his father, Pat sent a sympathy card with a scripture verse. We were very unfamilar with the Word at that time, but we ran to get the Bible and read the comforting words from John 14. This meant a great deal to us and I now include it when I send cards. The 1st time Pat heard me give my testimony about being born again she cried as she realized she had prayed for me when Billy died. So I now know I will see her again in Heaven. This might not have been the case if it was not for her many prayers on my behalf. What an inspiration she has been to so many--me included. Kathy, I was so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I remember her as such a sweet person as we were growing up. You know she is in a better place and at peace now. I know she is smiling down on you and your family.

She was a forever BAYLOR BEAUTY, a precious friend and shall be missed by all who came in contact with her. We are remembering the beautiful reception she gave in your home for a Baylor development function back in the l980's. What a perfect hostess she was.
