Nola J. Pitts Reese's Obituary
Nola J. Pitts Reese of Longview, Texas joined her beloved husband Gerald in eternal rest on Monday, February 11, 2008.
Nola was born October 15, 1948 in Paris, Arkansas to Melvin and Irene Pitts, moving to Longview as a small child, where she graduated from Pine Tree schools.
She was an employee of the Federal Aviation Administration for the past 40 years as an Office Administrator. Nola was a lifetime member of the Longview Women's Bowling Association and served as President, Secretary of many leagues, and coached the Junior Bowlers.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, February 15, 2008 at Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Road, Longview, Texas with Bro. Steve Cochran officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2008 at the funeral home. In addition to her parents, Nola was preceded in death by her husband Gerald in 2005, and son Darren in 1998.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Denise and Ed Ahlstedt of Douglass, KS; sons and daughters-in-law Jimmy and Robin Reese of Longview, and Billy and Erin Reese of Weatherford, TX; granddaughters Atoya Reese of Longview and Kristal Newport of OK; grandsons Garrett and Brady Reese of Weatherford, TX, Tony Ahlstedt, Andy Ahlstedt, Brandon Finley and Bryan Reese of KS, Adam Ahlstedt of FL; great-grandsons Austin and Ethan Ahlstedt of KS; brothers and sisters-in-law Melvin and Della Pitts of Lake of the Pines, Jimmy and Virginia Pitts of Longview, and Paul and Sue Pitts of Fritch, TX; sister-in-law and brother-in law Marilyn and Bob Berry of Aledo; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mackey Pitts, Jeremy Miller, Andy Pruitt, Grady Cunningham, Paul Broyles and Brett Varnell.
The family asks that memorials be made to the Arthritis Foundation, American Lung Assocation or the LWBA Scholarship Fund.
