Nell Mitchell's Obituary
Family graveside services will be held for Nell Mitcham Mitchell at the Mitchell Family Cemetery, Walnut Grove, in Elderville, TX, with the Rev. Jonathan Jehorek officiating. Nell died February 6, 2011, of natural causes at the age of 96.
A graduate of Baylor Univ. in Dallas, Nell became a registered and surgical nurse at Baylor Hospital. She was a stewardess and National Kiwi President for American Airlines, where she met her future husband, co-pilot W. W. Mitchell. She and 'Mitch' lived in Fort Worth, TX, New York, NY, Memphis, TN, and raised their family in Dallas, TX. They retired to their home on Lake Cherokee in Longview, TX and lived until Mitch passed away in 2001. Nell then went to live with her daughter in Fredericksburg, TX.
Nell was preceded in death by her mother Ruth Mitcham, brother Troy Mitcham and husband Mitch. She is survived by one son W. W. Mitchell, II and wife Beverly of Dallas, TX; one daughter Suzanne Mitchell of Fredericksburg, TX ; grandchildren Todd Mitchell and Katherine Richardson; Adam Mitchell; Jake Mitchell; three great-grandchildren Darcy, Seth and Jack.
