Funeral services for Nancy Ortiz, 18, of Longview, formerly of Honduras, will be held at 2 PM Monday, April 11, 2005 in the Sanctuary of Oakland Heights Baptist Church with the Reverend Jim Johnson of Fellowship Bible Church and Sergio Handal officiating. Burial will follow in Grace Hill Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, 1617 Judson Road. The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 PM Sunday, April 10, 2005 in the funeral home chapel.
Nancy was born on December 29, 1986 in Tegucigalpa, Honduras to Oscar, Sr. and Ada Ortiz. She passed away early Friday morning, April 8, 2005 in a Longview hospital.
She was a student at Dallas Baptist University, had attended LeTourneau University, and was a member of Fellowship Bible Church.
A loving daughter, sister, and granddaughter, Nancy is survived by her parents; two brothers, Oscar Ortiz, Jr., Josue Ortiz; paternal grandparents, Oscar Ortiz, and Amparo de Ortiz; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
