Graveside services for Mildred ?Millie? PettyJohn Emberlin, 69, of Longview will be held at 2pm Wednesday January 9, 2008 at Rosewood Park Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mrs. Emberlin passed away Sunday January 6, 2008 in Longview.
She was born June 6, 1938 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Louie and Helen Welch PettyJohn. She attended schools in White Oak from 1948 to 1956, and then continued her education at Kilgore College and Ft. Lewis A&M College in Durango, Colorado.
On February 2, 1957 she married Richard Emberlin and they set out on an adventure that would take them around the world, as an enlisted?s mans wife and an officer?s lady. She was a home maker and she enjoyed reading.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years Richard of Longview, children,
Diane Emberlin of Sacramento, Cal.; Richard Emberlin, Jr. of Dallas, Tx.; Joseph Emberlin and wife Dina of Des Moines, Ia.; grandchildren, Michael, Zachary and Elise Emberlin, brother, Marvin PettyJohn and wife Ruth of Yorktown, Tx.
