Funeral services for Michael E. Colcord, 48, of Tatum will be held at Noon, Monday, February 16, 2004 at the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church on FM 782 with the Reverend Roy Cully officiating. Burial will follow in Tatum Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, 1617 Judson Road. The VFW Jefferson Texas Post 10373 Honor Guard will present military honors for Mr. Colcord?s dedicated service with the United States Marine Corp. The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 PM on both Saturday, Feb. 14, and Sunday Feb. 15, in the funeral home chapel.
Mr. Colcord was born on February 29, 2956 in Roswell, New Mexico to Howard and Elva Colcord. He passed away on Friday evening, January 12, 2004 in a Dallas hospital.
He was a truck driver for D.P.C. Industries of Longview, and a member of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in the Stewart Community.
A loving husband, Mr. Colcord was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Colcord of Tatum; daughter, Rhondia O?Neill of Dallas; sisters and brothers-in-law, Bobbie Wideman and William Phillips of Gilmer, Sylvia and Daniel Atkinson of Camas, Washington; brothers and sister-in-law, Lawrence Staeden of Roswell, New Mexico, Christopher and Cheryl Staeden of Roswell, New Mexico; as well as many nieces and nephews.
