I'll never forget Uncle Mike chasing me and my friend, Janna, with a chopping axe. He was always one of my favorite uncles.

Mike was the best brother anyone could ever have. He was always there for me whenever I needed him, but always told me that I had done so much for him instead. I'll miss that shining boy with his smile and mop of blonde curls. "Farewell, farewell, but this I tell /To thee, thou Wedding Guest: /He prayeth well, who loveth well /Both man and bird and beast"

Growing up with Mike was a blessing to me. He was my little shadow. I remember when he was just a toddler caring his little blanket wam wam with a small roll of cotten or string tucked in one ear. I never knew why he did that but it was his signiture. In December of 1999 I gave him a new blankie and last October when I visited him in Dallas he thanked me again for the blanket and said the past few months that blanket brought him much comfort. I will miss him terribly.
