Hello Barbra,
I'm so sorry for the passing of my cousin Mike. As a child, I remember Mike always reading the bible being a witness for the Lord Jesus Christ! Over the years, I've tried to find my cousin to let him know that I received Christ as my Savior 31 years ago, serving as a missionary in Europe. Your influence in playing the guitar and harmonica was amazing. We love you Mike! I cherish that I will be able to see you again in heaven!

My memory of Uncle Mike was when he came to California to visit us for his brother's (Larry - my dad) funeral back in 1982. At the age of 7, I was so happy to see him because he looked just like my dad and that was the last time I would see my Uncle Mike. We reached out a few years ago to say hello and touch base... I don't know why, but I was thinking of Uncle Mike today (2/6/19) and decided to look him up to get his phone number and that is when I saw the post today of his passing... This photo warms my heart because I could only imagine what my dad would have looked like had he lived a longer life.
Our hearts go out to those who shared in his life over the years. Barbara is in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. May the Lord fill your heart with comfort and the gift of cherished memories to help you with the healing process.

I remember Mike playing his guitar. He was a great musician! So very talented! He also had a very sharp memory. You could just mention a sermon from several years ago and he remembered who preached the sermon and the jest of it. We enjoyed having Mike and Barbara visit our home for lunch many times over the years. We enjoyed a close friendship for many years and hope to stay close to Barbara always. Lloyd enjoyed going hunting with Mike. He taught Mike how to harvest deer. He liked hunting deer on the Rutland's farm. They enjoyed the benefits of gardening also. We will miss him dearly.
