Our thoughts and prayers are with you today as you've laid your mother to rest. Your Mom and Dad's strong faith in God carried them through life and into the presence of God - What a blessed hope!
Aunt Melva and Uncle Grady's home was a welcome stop-over on many journeys from Colorado to Louisiana. Your mom had such a sweet and loving spirit was a very gracious lady. She leaves a great example to follow.
We love you all.##imported-begin##Walter and Barbara Singley Rose##imported-end##
What precious memories,One of the 1st goes way back to Rusty the cockerspaniel killed on the rd by WL's while You all were over for a visit, My that goes way back. Uncle Grady and Aunt Melva were great friends to the ministry and we were recipients of their kindness to us as were many others. What a legacy that has now paid heavenly dividends.
As the old hymn says "I'll Meet You In The Morning"

When I look at the sweet picture of your mom, I remember her sweet, ever present smile and the wonderful years that we spent growing up together at Valley View Baptist Church. It was wonderful people like Mr. & Mrs. Singley it feels strange for me to say Melva & Grady that laid the foundation of my faith as a youth. Their faithfulness to God and His church were an example to all of us. I rejoice with you that God blessed you with a mother of such character and love. May God bless you as you celebrate her life together and comfort one another as you continue your lives of faith in the confidence that you will be together again.
Grace & peace,

I have such fond memories of Aunt Melva. I remember when Uncle Grady would load up the whole family and they would come to Grandma's for the wk-end-we kids would play and there would always be lots of good food cooked and enjoyed as we all visited. But most of all, I remember when Faye and I would go for a wk. or 2 vacation at Aunt Melva's house-we would have so much fun. Even when she was working, she still made us feel welcome, cooking and planning outings. And of course, we always went to church at Valley View with them-2 services on Sunday and Wed. night. these memories I will cherish forever.
I know Aunt Melva is in Heaven, reunited with Uncle Grady, and they are so happy today. I know their children are comforted in this knowledge. Aunt Melva was a true Southern lady with strong Christian principles. We will miss you.##imported-begin##Linda Singley Miller##imported-end##
I could not help but think when I received word of Aunt Melva's homegoing that she and Uncle Grady were once again worshiping God together on a Sunday morning. They were always so faithful in their service to God and to their church. Aunt Melva was what I like to call a true "Steel Magnolia." She was made of strong stuff and could handle almost anything, yet she was a gentle, soft-spoken lady who always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. It was one of the great joys of my childhood to visit Uncle Grady and Aunt Melva in their home. The love they had for each other always stood out in my mind. I know they were busy, but they were always so gracious and welcoming. Aunt Melva was a beautiful, special lady whose memory I will always cherish.##imported-begin##Faye Singley Oliver##imported-end##
