Hey I don't know if you all remember me. I was the CNA at Longview Regional. I am heartbroken to hear about your mother passing. She was such a sweet sweet lady! If I would have seen this sooner, there is no way I would have missed the funeral. I know it is not an easy time for you all but she lived a great life, had loving children and helped others. I read that book yall gave me everyday. I will keep you all in my prayers. I am so blessed that I got to meet you all and Mrs. James. Rest in peace sweetheart.

Lovely inside and out. My love to all of you. So sorry Susan, you were a blessed one with the best Mother one could ask for. She was a ray of sunshine and a blessing to her grandchildren. They had the very best, too. I'll never forget when she bought Herman some tobacco when Larry was in Shreveport hospital and was so sick. So sweet to think of what he needed!! She had a servants heart. My prayers will continue as you live with great memories and take care of Mr. James. Love you, Susan.

When my family moved back to Longview in 1977, Maxine was the first person that I met. I took my fifth grade son to Pine Tree to register him. I will always remember how she treated us like we were the only people she had to serve. What a blessing to walk into a brand new situation and have her beautiful smile and soft, kind words to greet us. Later, after I met Susan, I got to know Maxine better. She was a sweet, kind spirit, and she influenced my life in a way that will never be the same, through her daughter. There will be a giant void in this sweet family, but we know that through the grace of the Holy Spirit they will all be lifted up! Bless you, sweet, dear Susan! You will always have her with you because of the wonderful job she did in parenting. I will always love you...

What I know about this precious child of the King is through the ministry of her children in my life, and they are two of the most godly persons to have entered my life. I have been greatly blessed by both of them, and and am thankful to the Lord for her influence in their lives, her family's lives, and every other life that
was enriched through her ministry. Please know of my prayers for the James, Bell, Barrett, and Jordan families. God bless you, lift you up, and surround you with his peace and the presence of the Spirit.

When I learned of Maxine's going home, I immediately knew she had gone to heaven to brighten up the place. Her wonderful spirit, great laughter, devotion to her family, church, and to our Lord will be sorely missed. May the Lord of peace and love comfort all. Heaven will be a better place with her there. Maxine was one of the most loving examples of a christian lady. Knowing that she is sitting at the feet of Jesus sharing a laugh with him as she has so many times with me in that backyard swing . I just wonder what the conversation is about. What a blessing she has been to us for 31 years. Can you imagine our joy at enrolling our girls through her in school and then finding her living next door to us the next month. We pray for you all in these difficult days you must face.
